Rugby Europe has today confirmed the calendar of 2022 Men’s & Women’s Sevens European Series to be held throughout Europe in June and July, that will crown the 2022 European Champions across six divisions at men, women and U18 level.
Championship teams will battle for the European crown in the two legs of the Championship Series – starting on June 25th in Lisbon for both men and women.
Due to the ongoing conflict, Ukraine have officially withdrawn their senior teams for the rest of the season. As a result, the spots left by Russia (suspended) and Ukraine have been offered to the next best ranked teams in the Trophy division.
This 2022 season will see 42 different unions competing in 15 tournaments throughout the various levels of senior and U18 competitions.
