Rugby Europe Championship

Played in February and March 2022, the the two best teams of the cumulative REC2021 and REC 2022 seasons obtained their ticket for Rugby World Cup 2023.

The team finishing third qualified for the Final Qualification Tournament, managed by World Rugby in November 2022.

Following the eligibility issue on one of Spain's players, the World Rugby Appeal Panel has confirmed a 10 point deduction for Spain in the RWC qualification table. Rugby Europe Board of Directors confirmed on July 5th 2022 the same 10 point deduction on the final tables of REC 21 (-5 points) and REC 22 (-5 points) would apply.
